The Balm- Mary Lou Manizer

First things first, let me just rave about how beautiful the packaging is on this product. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!

Highlighters might seem like an 'extra' step in your makeup routine, but if you're like me you will agree that its an essential staple piece to have in your makeup kit. I have loads of different face highlighters such as liquids, creams, powders and bronzing highlighters, but my favourite highlighter- Mary Lou-Manizer a champagne coloured, powder highlighter has to be one of my all time favourite products from The Balm.

So what's so good about this product? For starters, the texture is smooth, soft like butter and extremely pigmented. This honey coloured luminzer is the perfect hint of glow to highlight your face for flawless glowing skin, you can also use it as a shadow for popping out your eyes, brow bone or add it on top of your blush for a sexy glowing shimmer.

Naked Palette 2 DUPE Vs MUA Undress Me Too Palette

MUA released a palette called Undress Me Too and it is a DUPE of the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. The urban decay is a pricey palette for £36, whereas the MUA dupe comes at a fraction of the price- £4.

This Urban Decay Palette is pricey (£36), but amazing nonetheless. I had my eye on this palette for awhile now. I wanted a palette with neutral colours and this delivers just that! Naked Palette 2 is a stunning collection of 12 taupe and beige eye shadows plus 5 brand new bonus extras. This collection delivers subtle neutral looks, smokey dramatic eyes and everything in between. Naked Palette 2 also comes with a travel sized Lip Junkie Lip Gloss and a double ended, cruelty free Good Karma shadow and crease brush – exclusive to this palette. Packaged in an art school inspired tin with hinged lid, the Naked Palette 2 is definitely a beauty experience you don’t want to miss out on!

Here are swatches of all the shades on my arm; As you can see the colours are super pigmented (Left To Right).

  • Foxy - Cream bisque with matte finish.
  • Half Baked - Golden bronze shimmer.
  • Booty Call - Shimmering cork.
  • Chopper - Copper shimmer with silver micro glitter.
  • Tease - Creamy pale brown with a matte finish.
  • Snakebite - Dark metallic bronze shimmer.
  • Suspect - Pale golden beige shimmer
  • Pistol - Light grey/brown shimmer.
  • Verve - Oyster shimmer.
  • YDK - Cool bronze metallic shimmer.
  • Busted - Deep brown shimmer.
  • Blackout - Blackest black with matte finish.
The MUA palette, as you can see, there really is no difference between the Urban Decay shades and these. Made up of 12 warm and timeless shades. I can honestly say I cant even see any difference in quality, I always use a good eye shadow primer and as long as you apply this first, the colours last equally as long. The pigmentation in the colours are the same but I do think the shadows are of a more creamier consistency as opposed to the Naked 2 which is a lot lighter to apply. Again this collection delivers subtle neutral looks and transform your minimalist day look into a sexy smokey dramatic eye in an instant.

Here are swatches of all the shades on my arm; As you can see the colours are super pigmented (Left To Right).

  • Naked
  • Devotion
  • Shy
  • Fiery
  • Lavish
  • Dreamy
  • Tranquil
  • Exposed
  • Reveal
  • Wink
  • Obsessed
  • Corrupt
These palettes are definitely worth owning, you get a versatile mix of hues in both matte, silk and shimmer finishes. The only thing I do love about the Naked 2 Palette is the packaging and tin it comes in, whereas the MUA palette I am less fond of the packaging. Nevertheless I cant wait to play around with both. I will post some looks up girls so keep an eye out.

Bring Out Your Inner Snake

Black Long Length Blazer From Zara £29.99 (ON SALE)
Heels 'Jungle Snake' from Stylettox
Chanel Brooch from Beeauty_Box

So I was recently sent these bad boy heels 'Jungle Snake' from Stylettox. A new Italian brand for shoe addicts, every shoe is inspired by nature and city style in a perfect mix. Created by the jewellery designer Anna Pia Berti. So I was pretty excited to receive my first pair!

'High Heels High Hopes'

I cannot emphasise how much I LOVE these heels! The heel itself is amazing, but the print and blend of colours- brown and green is what makes this heel exquisite. Due to such neutral colours being used, I can pretty much bang these statement heels on with any outfit, so I can guarantee you'll be seeing a lot more of them on my blog! Although these heels look ridiculously high, they are by far the most comfiest heels I own. A perfect, key staple heel for an evening out, bound to catch eyes!

I literally through this outfit together this morning, I decided to keep the look simple and tones neutral because I wanted to show you just how much the right pair of heels can make an outfit and 'badabing badabang, here you have it'... I decided to go with a jungle theme so the leopard print scarf worked well with the snake print heels. The berry jeggings complimented the heels well and the blazer was just thrown on top for extra layers!

I'm quite busy this month, and I am super excited to announce I will be reopening TheCloset Boutique within the next week! I have some incredible pieces coming out and I literally cannot wait to share them with you.
